I have been an RMT since 2007. Over the years my treatment focus shifted towards working with clients with cancer and pain. Watching my clients and family members go through their own health issues had me wishing they had someone to help empower them to make informed decisions about their lifestyle choices, treatment and care. Eventually, I became that person by taking the Cancer Coaching at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. I then took the Health Coach Professional Certificate at York University’s Health Leadership and Learning Network, and I am now working towards achieving my NBHWC coaching certification.
I am an avid gardener with a vegetable garden in my backyard and the beginnings of a pollinator garden in the front yard. I take great pleasure from picking fresh veggies that I’ve grown to make healthy dinners for my family. I have also done some fermenting, pickling and preserving and look forward to more of that as my garden expands.
